Ex-Employee Exposes Qikfox’s Dark Reality: How Tarun Gaur Tricks Employees and Defrauds US Seniors

Tarun Gaur

I am shocked to see how Tarun Gaur is featured on reputable magazines like this Enterprenuer, and his comapny Qikfox is also funded by Drapers. He is a serial scammer.

He also somehow removed all the audio links and reports published by at least eight websites. I don’t know how he removed all the links from the Internet.

Tarun Gaur and his team in India (with whom he has no relations on paper; these Indian organizations, like Methodworks Pvt Ltd and Flyhigh Edutech, do not mention him on paper), but he solely controls every employee in these two organizations.

The mode of scam is that he has a team that works from the Methodworks Pvt Ltd office, address: Aykon Tower 7th floor, Sector 135, Noida, UP, India.

Now, they send emails to elderly US citizens boomers (posing as McAffee) stating that their card has been charged $1999 on successful purchase of McAffe antivirus yearly subscription, which will be auto-renewable every year.

There is a note at the bottom with a contact number to contact within 7 days of receiving this email for charge reversal.

Now, the boomers panic and call the contact number, where the call center employee at Methodworks trained by Tarun informs the caller not to worry.

McAffee (qikfox posing as McAffee) tries to mind-wash the caller about how his PC has been affected and how such incidences (debit of $1999, which never happened; it was just a fake mail from them) can occur anytime.

They have a huge yearly subscription offer at $379, which will protect the caller and come with a safe browser, qikfox Browser.

Then, they ask the caller to let them access their computer using any desk, and they manually help the boomer purchase the $379 subscription, which is billed annually and recurring.

I am an ex-employee. Also, you may ask why people work for this?

It is not that simple. He hires people under the name Qikfox and rolls out the offer letter for Qikfox, a startup funded by Drapers, so people believe it is an authentic company.

Now, people have resigned from their current companies and joined the company called Qikfox. After one month, he told them about CYBERSECURITY and explained his plans for the startup.

He will offer equity, and after 45-60 days, he will ask the new employee to sign an Agreement made by the Methodworks organisation. He will do this via video conference from the US.

He will mindwash this; it’s just a formality. You already have offer letters, and this is for Indian rules and complaints.

Now, once the new employee signs the agreement, his job is over. He will assign the employee to the managers of Kashish Mehra, Arun Rajesh, Smahi Maini, Jyoti Maini, or Imran.

These managers will get a printout of the agreement and tell the employee what he has signed. There is a 90-day non-negotiable notice period and a 2-year bond; if you leave before 2 years, you must pay the entire 2-year salary.

Also, Methodworks will revoke your 12-month salary if your work is unsatisfactory. Now you are a Methodworks employee, and there is nothing called qikfox (the offer letter is not valid as he just sent it in the mail without any signature, and there is no employment letter/confirmation from qikfox)

Now, the new employee has no option but to meet the target, or his salary will be revoked. I hope this reaches people, but somehow, he has removed eight legitimate websites that mentioned the scam, even the scammer.info link.

It is very hard to hold Tarun Gaur legally as he does his scam via India but is a US citizen and lives in the US. Also, there is no legal mention that Methoworks is related to Tarun Gaur.

Imran went to jail once, but there was no proof or evidence. Even his phone was not allowed in the office, so he escaped.

Also, he does not give experience letters to employees after they complete 2 years. I am not sure how this scam will stop.
