    Misleading Charges and Hidden Subscription

I booked a one-time cleaning with Homeaglow, only to find out afterward that I was enrolled in a $49/month "ForeverClean" membership without my knowledge. There was no clear indication during booking that I was committing to a long-term contract, and the cleaner even confirmed it was a one-time service with no additional charges. After the cleaning, I was hit with multiple surprise fees, including a membership I didn’t sign up for, a premium cleaner fee I didn’t knowingly select, and an early cancellation penalty of $276. Customer service refused to take responsibility and cited vague ā€œtermsā€ that were never properly disclosed. This business model is misleading and predatory. I’ve filed a dispute with my credit card and reported the company to the Better Business Bureau. Be careful before using this service.

    Hard to Get Support

I’ve been using Homeaglow for 6 months. My first cleaner didn’t speak English, so every session I had to spend extra time helping her with Google Translate — and I was paying for that. Today, my second cleaner was 30 minutes late. I had to leave, and she arrived 5 minutes after I was gone. Now they’re charging me anyway. There’s no way to reach a real person or get any support. Very frustrating experience.

No show and no call or text

My cleaner was scheduled to come on June 10th,however, I received an email that it was canceled because I did not confirm. Therefore, I complained and the cleaner put me back on the scheduled for June 10th. On June 10th she called and said she wasn't feeling well could she come another day. She said she would come Saturday, June 14th at 5PM. She did not call nor text. Then she send me a text for July 8th cleaning. I called her and texted her about today June 14th. She said the scheduled the appointment for July 8th. I told her I have not received myJune cleaning. What about today? This company is not consistent, and they need a physical person in customer service to rectify problems within their organization.

    Extremely Poor Cleaning Service

Very disappointed with this cleaning service. I spent two days preparing and left clear, detailed instructions. The job was straightforward: vacuum one bedroom, clean the kitchen and two bathrooms, polish a few tables, and vacuum two rugs. She didn’t clean the microwave, granite counters, or kitchen table. The glass stovetop kit was left untouched. Floors were still dirty and had a sticky residue. Bathroom tiles and floors weren’t scrubbed. The rugs in the living room and kitchen weren’t vacuumed, and she didn’t even move the barstools to clean around them. This was supposed to be a three-hour job, and I honestly can’t tell what was done. The only positive is that nothing was damaged or missing.

    Poor Service and Unethical Practices

Over two cleanings with two different cleaners who actually showed up, I dealt with multiple delays, stolen property, poor service, and unhelpful customer support. Their "62% off your first cleaning" deal is a scam — it only applies if you commit to a six-month membership, and any refunds for incorrectly charged services are spread out over multiple cleanings. I was assigned a "premium cleaner" who outsources the work and sends cleaners with no profiles for vetting. Customer service always blames the "independent contractors" and never takes responsibility for bad service or low quality. Stay away from this scam!

Homeaglow is incredibly misleading. They advertise a $19 cleaning, but once you enter your credit card, you’re unknowingly locked into a 6-month contract with $50 monthly charges—even if you never book another cleaning. I was charged $48 without scheduling a second visit. When I tried to cancel, they tried to charge me a $240 cancellation fee, which was never clearly disclosed or agreed to upfront. To make matters worse, the cleaner they sent damaged my blinds, and their customer support was slow to respond until I escalated the issue. This company uses deceptive tactics and hidden fees that should raise red flags. I've already filed complaints and will continue to warn others. Avoid them—you're likely to end up paying way more than you expect for mediocre service and a lot of frustration.

    Misleading Pricing and Unfair Charges

This company is a scam. They trick people into signing membership contracts and falsely advertise a first service for $19, only to charge $89 after the job is done. Until they stop misleading customers and fix this, they’re headed for failure. If they don’t do right by people, they won’t succeed.

    Unprofessional and Shady Business Practices

This company feels like a scam. They sent cleaners who were unprofessional and even tried to pressure me into paying extra. They sent me private invoices through text messages and stayed past the agreed time just to charge me more. On top of that, their subscription model is shady, and they’ve tried to overcharge me without my knowledge. Definitely not a service I would trust.

    Not a fan

I did not have a good experience with Homeaglow. The website is confusing and difficult to navigate. Because I was told my house needed a deep clean, I purchased a 100% completely refundable six-hour cleaning for $79. When I went to schedule the cleaning, only three hour cleanings came up. Thinking maybe I needed to start with a three hour cleaning, I scheduled one. The site says to put in several different times to get the best chance to schedule, so I chose the next day as well. Then I received multiple emails and texts telling me that I had double booked. I canceled one of them and soon had a cleaning scheduled. On the day of the cleaning, the cleaner texted me to say she would be late, as a pipe had burst in her home. She assured me she was on her way. She didn’t, however, tell me that she was taking the bus from the other side of town. She showed up an hour and a half late, with only time to do two hours because of my schedule. Homeaglow used two hours of my voucher to cover the work. The cleaner scheduled to make the last hour up in a few days. That day, I get another text telling me that she was going to be an hour and a half late because she didn’t know the buses only ran on the hour on Sundays. She said she was on her way, but she never showed and didn’t text me to say she wasn’t going to. I let Homeaglow know and they gave me a voucher for the last hour. In the meantime, I was getting estimates from other cleaners unaffiliated with Homeaglow. I found one I liked and canceled my plan with Homeaglow. In order to cancel, they charged me $28 for the cleaning despite them using the voucher to cover it. I asked several times for a refund of the six hour voucher. This was their reply: ā€œI see that the 6-hour voucher that you’ve purchased was applied to your first cleaning appointment. Since the voucher has already been used, this is no longer refundable. Only 2 hours has been used on your voucher. You still have a 3-hour voucher and a 1-hour voucher on your account. This will be applied one at a time. Your 3-hour voucher will be applied to your next cleaning appointment. Once this has been used, your 1-hour voucher will be applied to the next appointment.ā€ I did not want to continue to do business with Homeaglow, so I transferred the three hour voucher to a family member. I won’t be going back.
