    No Real Help

Not helpful at all. They hold back basic information to keep you dependent on them for simple tasks. Even when I asked to learn how to do things myself, they avoided giving clear answers. It feels like they’d rather charge you $100–$200 for every small thing than actually help you become self-sufficient. It’s more about keeping you locked into their services than providing real support. Wouldn’t recommend.

    Bad Support After Payment

I was excited at first—this was my first time starting a business, and I thought I was in good hands. But once they got my money, the support disappeared. There were no follow-up calls, no guidance, and no effort to ensure things were set up correctly. I emailed the team and was promised a callback, but that never happened. I feel completely abandoned. If I had known it would be like this, I could’ve done it myself and saved the money.

    Regret Using Inc Authority

From the start, Inc Authority felt off. I was promised a "free LLC," but immediately bombarded with upsells for services I didn't fully understand or need. It was overwhelming and left me questioning if I'd made a mistake — and I hadn’t even finished filing yet. The worst part came a year later when I started receiving emails threatening to send me to collections. I had already informed them I didn’t want to continue with their registered agent service, but they never clearly explained that I had to manually file a change with the state. When I ignored their pushy renewal emails, thinking they were just trying to get more money out of me, they escalated to threatening collections. After figuring it out on my own, I paid the state and submitted the paperwork myself. I even sent them proof, but instead of acknowledging it, they kept holding the situation over my head, demanding I wait for some official state document to avoid collections. It feels predatory. This company is deliberately confusing new business owners and using fear tactics to push unnecessary services. I would not recommend them to anyone.

    Avoid Inc Authority

I didn’t even want to give them 1 star, but had to. I was opening my first LLC and found a company promising free LLC formation—just pay the state fee, and they’d handle the rest for the first year. That sounded great, but they pushed me to buy services I didn’t need. It’s a one-person LLC as a promoter, so I didn’t need anything extra. Then, they charged me $2,500 for a PayPal line of credit that I didn’t want or need. After that, I couldn’t get in touch with my main point of contact, and customer service was terrible. They got their money, then cut off communication—until renewal time came around. By then, I had removed their name as the “Filing Agent,” but they still emailed me asking for more money to renew. They took over $2,500, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. If you just need an LLC set up and nothing else, stay away from Inc Authority. They’ll take your money and try to sell you things you don’t need.

Be careful with Inc Authority—they charged me way more than what the services were actually worth. Once I stopped spending money, my Business Advisor, Gary Miranda, completely disappeared. I was supposed to get a refund nine months ago and never received it. When I followed up, they acted like nothing was wrong, claimed I missed some time limit, and gave different answers depending on who I spoke with. My advice: do your homework. Most of what they do, you can handle yourself for a fraction of the cost. Don’t waste your money.

    Unnecessary Upsells

I used Inc Authority to set up my LLC, and the experience was frustrating from start to finish. They push unnecessary services, making the LLC process seem much more complicated than it really is. Most of what they try to sell you during the signup is not needed. The worst part is their misleading billing practices. They automatically enroll you in their overpriced registered agent service ($249/year) and pressure you into renewing with false threats of collections—even though this isn't a debt and cannot legally be sent to collections. When I decided to switch to being my own registered agent (which is simple and inexpensive to do with the state), they continued sending aggressive emails, trying to scare me into paying. If you're setting up an LLC, steer clear of this company. State websites offer everything you need, and there are far more transparent services available. Don't fall for their upselling tactics or scare strategies!

    Frustrating Experience and Poor Service

I’ve been waiting for my EIN since December 2024, and I’m stuck. I can’t even open a bank account. Now that it’s time to file taxes, all I’ve done so far is register the business (and haven’t received any receipts for the services). I also paid them to file the BOI. I reached out to them in mid-February, and they resubmitted the form to the IRS. They told me I’d have to wait 15 to 20 business days to receive the EIN, which doesn’t make any sense. In the meantime, a bank and tax consultant contacted me, offering to handle my personal and business taxes for next year—but for an additional $2,000. Honestly, I don’t know what I’ve gotten myself into. I contacted them two days ago, and they gave me the IRS number to call for the EIN. When I asked for a refund, they refused, claiming they had already sent me the operating agreement. I guess I’ll have to handle the rest myself.
