The process was quick and easy, and communication was solid throughout. I got paid almost right away. That said, the final price I received was a lot lower than what I was originally quoted. I went through with it because I had already agreed, but in hindsight, I shouldโve done more research before committing. The company is reliable, but make sure you compare offers before you sell.
Great Service and Communication
Their offer was half of what a competitor gave me, but I chose Epic after the other company wouldnโt help resolve a PayPal issue. Epicโs staff was professional and communicated clearly throughout the entire process. Iโd definitely recommend them.
Ridiculously Low Offer
I sent them a bottle worth around $5,000 to $6,000 in retail value, and they offered me just $1,000. When I asked about the low offer, they explained that they base their price on what they consider "true retail" and need to cover insurance and shipping costs. Essentially, they would make a profit of $4,000 to $5,000. Thatโs an outrageous markup. Selling to them doesnโt make sense unless youโre desperate.
I had an excellent experience with a professional and friendly team. From the moment I reached out with my inquiry, all the way through to receiving my payment (which was very quick), the team made sure to guide me through every step. They were always prompt in checking if I needed any assistance. Itโs such a refreshing change to work with people who not only know their stuff but also treat you like a person rather than just another transaction.
Unreasonable Offer
This site offers rare bottles for sale, so I asked for a valuation of a bottle that last sold for $1,676 in April 2024, and over 1,300 euros. They offered to buy it from me for just $135. While I understand that brokers need to make a profit, this offer was completely unreasonable. I would not recommend their brokerage service.
