Unresponsive Service and Unfulfilled Promises
Customer service is disappointing and not focused on student needs. The program costs over $5,000, and while they claim to offer support and availability, itโs been difficult to reach anyone directly. On top of the program fee, youโre expected to pay upfront for AAMC materials with the promise of reimbursementโbut getting that reimbursement is a struggle. BeMo is slow to respond, and all concerns go through a group inbox that sends vague, generic replies that rarely address your actual issue. Not worth the cost or the hassle.
Inconsistent Support and Poor Feedback
I had an initial consultation where I clearly explained that I wasnโt the typical profile for the program I was applying to. The Director of Admissions still encouraged me to apply, saying I was a good fit. I knew it would be a challenge, so I shared my concerns with BeMo, and they assured me they could help. I paid $4K. At first, I thought the brainstorming sessions were helpful, and the consultants were supportive. But once I submitted my documents, I was told to rewrite them and that my personal story wasnโt important. I was told to just give the admissions committee what they wanted, which felt like my individuality didnโt matter. They pushed me to follow a "standard essay" despite my desire to stand out. The feedback I got was from someone reviewing a medical school application (which I wasn't applying to), and I donโt think they even understood the program I was applying to. What made things worse was the lack of continuity. Each time I spoke to someone new, I had to repeat my story, and the feedback varied greatlyโsome were encouraging, others left me feeling hopeless. I also received emails saying my documents were reviewed, but when I checked, the page was blank. It was an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience.
Terrible Experience
They scammed my wife and refused to give a refund. She was told the full amount would be returned if she wasnโt satisfied after the first session. She wasnโtโbut they never refunded her. Itโs been over a month with no response. Avoid this place.
The consultant came completely unprepared and couldnโt answer basic questions about BeMoโs own materials. At one point, they had to Google answers during the session and still couldnโt provide clear information. It was confusing and unhelpful from start to finish.
Expensive Programs With Lacks Of Transparency
BeMo Academic Consulting offers money-back guarantees to get you to sign up for their expensive programs, but they fail to inform you of the small details that could disqualify you from receiving a refund. As far as I can tell, you canโt see these requirements unless you actively ask for them, so many people donโt even know they exist. I saw someone else on Reddit get tripped up by this. Please save your money and donโt use this company.
