Had a disappointing experience booking through I book a car. When we arrived at the Alamo counter at Nashville airport, we were given a much smaller car than what we reserved. We had booked a five-door Nissan Versa Note (or similar) and were handed a tiny three-door Fiat 500 with barely any trunk space. We had no choice but to pay $220 (plus tax) to upgrade on the spot. Maybe Alamo played a part in this, but since the booking was through Ibookacar, I expected them to take responsibility. All they offered afterward was a 5% discount on a future rentalโnot exactly a meaningful resolution.
Not Valid for Domestic Rental
I am very disappointed. The offer should clearly state that it does not apply to Americans renting a car within the United States. Alamo does not honor this transaction for domestic rentals, so be aware of that. It turned into a hassle. I tried to contact ibookacar but only received a voicemail prompting me to leave a message.
