I used to trust B&H, but after this last experience, I wonāt be buying from them again. I ordered a laptop back in February. It never arrived. Itās now been almost four months, and the package is still listed as āin transit.ā B&H refuses to issue a refund unless the item is returned ā even though it was never delivered in the first place. Customer service was no help at all, and I wasted hours trying to get someone to take responsibility. I ended up disputing the charge with my bank because B&H wouldnāt resolve it. Now I see their response claiming this was an international return. Thatās not true. The order was shipped via USPS to Rota, which is a U.S. Commonwealth, not an international address. The last tracking update was in Pennsylvania on May 14. Itās clearly lost ā not returned. Itās also unclear why B&H canāt file an insurance claim with USPS. Instead, theyāre pushing the loss onto the customer. If something gets lost in the mail, thatās not the buyerās fault ā yet B&H wonāt take responsibility.
Unnecessary Hassle
Had a really frustrating experience. I ordered a product that didnāt work with our setup, so we returned it and asked to exchange it for something else. I gave them our credit card info to cover the price difference. Instead of processing the exchange, they canceled the order entirely, issued a gift card for the return, and told me to place a brand new order using the gift card and our card for the rest. Totally inefficient process. To make it worse, the customer service rep initially told me the order wasnāt canceledābut when I pointed out there was nothing showing in my account, he admitted I had to place a new order. So yes, it was canceled. This back-and-forth delayed our project and felt like unnecessary hassle.
Doesnāt Stand Behind Their Products
I bought a Mavic 3 drone battery from B&H as a backup. When I finally tried to use it, it didnāt work. I contacted B&H for a replacement, and they just pointed to their policy: after 30 days, itās not their problem. I was told to take it up with the manufacturer. B&H clearly doesn't care about customers once the sale is done. If something goes wrong, you're on your own. I wonāt be buying from them again.
Too Complicated for a Simple Order
This checkout process is a mess. Every time I try to enter my shipping or billing info, it resets or defaults to the wrong address or zip code. I had to re-enter everything multiple times. What shouldāve taken 4 minutes took over 30. I use a ton of online stores for business, and none are this frustrating to deal with.
Order Missing
I spent $2,000 on a laptop that never showed up. The company insists it was delivered but canāt tell me who signed for it or where it went. Theyāve offered no real help and wonāt even contact the post office to investigate. I strongly suggest avoiding this seller. As someone with a large following on TikTok and YouTube, I plan to share this experience publicly.
Be cautious with this companyās āSuper Save Shippingā option. They advertise delivery in 1ā5 days for $4.99, but thatās not what happens. I paid for this service because I needed an item for a business presentation, but it ended up taking 12 days to arrive. Thatās longer than their free shipping would have taken, and much longer than what was promised. The website doesnāt clearly explain this delay, and it feels intentionally misleading. I reached out to customer service about a refund for the shipping cost, but after talking to two people, I got no real answer ā just the impression that this kind of delay is ānormal.ā Itās only $5, but if enough people are misled like this, it adds up fast.
Order Stuck in Customs
I purchased a camera backpack for my friend, but B&H Photo used my business name from PayPal and attached it to my friend's shipping address. Now, the shipment is stuck in customs because the name on the business doesn't match the shipping address. DHL understood the issue and advised me to get a new invoice with my friend's name and send a letter explaining the change. B&H Photo refused my request. Now, the product is stuck at customs and will be destroyed in 30 days. Iāve lost $149.
Order Canceled Without Notice After Months of Waiting
This has been the worst online shopping experience Iāve ever had. I ordered in mid January, with a shipping estimate of first week of February. That date came and wentāno update. I had to constantly follow up, only to get vague, canned responses like ānext weekā or āweāre still waiting.ā Nearly three months later, they canceled my order due to a āpayment issueā and never told me. No email, no callānothing. When I asked, they claimed they emailed me on April 6th. I checked thoroughlyāthereās no such email. I was in regular contact with them at the time, and they didnāt mention anything. Either theyāre completely disorganized, or they just donāt care. Now they suggest I reorderāseriously? After all that? Their customer service is unhelpful, communication is awful, and they clearly donāt prioritize international customers. I wasted months on a company that couldnāt even send a proper cancellation notice.
The transaction started off well, with everything in stock and expected to arrive on time for the event, as the camera was a gift. However, delivery went from next-day to possibly 1-4 days later than promised. No one at B&H took responsibility or offered a solution. Now Iām left paying an additional $2,500 for a camera that wonāt arrive as promised. I understand that things can go wrong, but a business should offer a solution. A refund? Thatāll take time too. The lack of accountability and poor customer service will be their downfall.
Payment Problem at Checkout
I ran into an issue when trying to check out using two B&H gift cards along with my PayBoo card. The system didnāt seem to calculate the total correctlyāit looked like it was trying to charge sales tax on the part covered by the gift cards, but something just wasnāt adding up. The numbers on the screen looked right individually, but the final total was always off. I tried a few times but kept running into the same problem. In the end, I just used my PayBoo card for the full amount and will save the gift cards for a future purchase where I don't have to split the payment.
Disappointing Delivery Experience
According to the shipper's tracking info, my order was supposed to arrive on Monday. They didnāt specify a time, and since B&H requires signature confirmation, I stayed home all day, but the package never arrived. Then, they said the order would arrive on Tuesday between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Itās now 2:30 PM, and they still havenāt shown up. I've ordered many times from Amazon and Best Buy, and they donāt require signatures, are faster, and much more reliable. I wonāt be ordering from B&H again.
