Be careful with Inc Authorityโthey charged me way more than what the services were actually worth. Once I stopped spending money, my Business Advisor, Gary Miranda, completely disappeared. I was supposed to get a refund nine months ago and never received it. When I followed up, they acted like nothing was wrong, claimed I missed some time limit, and gave different answers depending on who I spoke with. My advice: do your homework. Most of what they do, you can handle yourself for a fraction of the cost. Donโt waste your money.
Unnecessary Upsells
I used Inc Authority to set up my LLC, and the experience was frustrating from start to finish. They push unnecessary services, making the LLC process seem much more complicated than it really is. Most of what they try to sell you during the signup is not needed. The worst part is their misleading billing practices. They automatically enroll you in their overpriced registered agent service ($249/year) and pressure you into renewing with false threats of collectionsโeven though this isn't a debt and cannot legally be sent to collections. When I decided to switch to being my own registered agent (which is simple and inexpensive to do with the state), they continued sending aggressive emails, trying to scare me into paying. If you're setting up an LLC, steer clear of this company. State websites offer everything you need, and there are far more transparent services available. Don't fall for their upselling tactics or scare strategies!
Frustrating Experience and Poor Service
Iโve been waiting for my EIN since December 2024, and Iโm stuck. I canโt even open a bank account. Now that itโs time to file taxes, all Iโve done so far is register the business (and havenโt received any receipts for the services). I also paid them to file the BOI. I reached out to them in mid-February, and they resubmitted the form to the IRS. They told me Iโd have to wait 15 to 20 business days to receive the EIN, which doesnโt make any sense. In the meantime, a bank and tax consultant contacted me, offering to handle my personal and business taxes for next yearโbut for an additional $2,000. Honestly, I donโt know what Iโve gotten myself into. I contacted them two days ago, and they gave me the IRS number to call for the EIN. When I asked for a refund, they refused, claiming they had already sent me the operating agreement. I guess Iโll have to handle the rest myself.
