Horrible experience with this chain. I ordered a backpack, but they sent me a t-shirt instead. The store near me closed down, so I had to call customer service. They told me they wouldnโt refund my money unless I paid for another backpack first. Once the new order was confirmed, they said theyโd refund the original one. The woman I spoke to had to text her manager but didnโt even know the managerโs name. It felt shady and unprofessional. It was their mistake, but they refused to fix it properly. No wonder theyโre closing storesโthey clearly donโt care about customer service. Iโll never shop here again. Buyer beware.
Terrible experience. I ordered a backpack and got a t-shirt instead. Since the local Dickโs store near me has closed, I had to call customer serviceโand it only got worse from there. They refused to issue a refund unless I let them charge me for a second order first, and only then would they refund the original. That made no sense, especially since the mistake was theirs. The rep on the phone had to text her manager for answers but didnโt even know the managerโs name. The whole thing felt disorganized and shady. They messed up my order and wouldnโt fix it properly. I wonโt shop at Dickโs again, and I can see why their stores are shutting down.
Dishonest Checkout Practices
I ordered a Nuggets shirt on sale for $36.97, plus $2.03 tax, totaling $39.00. I checked out, paid with my credit card, and my receipt showed $39.00. Four days later, I picked it up, and everything seemed fineโuntil I checked my bank statement and saw they had charged me an extra $0.74 with no explanation. There was no mention of this extra charge at checkout or on my receiptโthey just helped themselves to more of my money. Huh??? That kind of dishonesty would have earned them a 1-star review if it had been a bigger amount! WILL NOT RECOMMEND. Thank goodness it wasnโt more than $0.74!
No Response My Request For Refund
Connected to the online advert via Instagram. It was disguised in the role of Dick's Sporting Goods Store. I bought the promotion sale for sandals. I received an email with a follow-up confirmation including tracking numbers. Wasn't able to receive the product. Email address was provided to Customer Support. Recipient received response for checking track number. Based on the tracking link, it was delivered and picked up at a place in Hawaii. The item never arrived at my place in NY. It was a challenge to get in touch with them. clicking the link to the store and again, but the site has been shut offline. I tried to contact customer service and again, but no reply to my request to reimbursement.
No Responce
A social media campaign which looked a lot like Dick's Sporting Goods. The site was similar. I purchased two items, and the tracking system states they aren't available for delivery in another state. In addition, the company that tracks the items advised me to get in touch with the seller but haven't received an response.I just lost about $40, however I wanted to share the information in case it happens to anyone else.
Be Careful
The website seemed authentic. I wasn't concerned until I received an order confirmation, which included the usual company logo, however it had an email with a fake address. I immediately called my credit card company in order to shut down the account and issue a new credit card. When I contacted the retailer, they to ensure that my order wasn't there in their system. It was, but did not happen. The credit on my card was identified in the name of Imobi Technologies.
