Scamming Job Seekers
They have targeted applicants through Linkedin as well as Indeed. They will send them a fake cheque to "buy supplies" but when the check isn't working and the person applying for jobs isn't satisfied, they ask them to pay $500 towards their "company". This is one that is a Google phone. They may not be located within the US although they pretend to be US businesses.
Scam Alert
Scammer advertised a job offer and suggested that I deposit the money via an electronic check. I reached out to the company that was listed on the check, and was told this was an enticement
